General

The Connecticut Energy Efficiency Partner Program is a new initiative that will offer funding for the purchase and deployment of enhanced demand-side management technologies to help consumers conserve electricity and reduce demand in Connecticut.

Section 94 of Public Act 07-242, An Act Concerning Electricity and Energy Efficiency requires the DPUC to establish guidelines for the administration of the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Partners Program and authorizes the DPUC to spend up to $60 million annually to fund projects that will reduce Connecticut's peak electric demand.

DPUC Proceeding

The DPUC has established a formal proceeding to establish the guidelines for administering the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Partners Program, DPUC Docket No. 07-06-59, and seeks input from the energy community and public at large in designing this program.
