The Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund sponsored the Home Energy Solutions “Energy Challenge”, a statewide competition, that allowed entrants to share ideas on how to make a home more energy efficient. Participants explained how and why they took active steps to reduce their carbon footprint and energy usage, describing areas they consciously addressed in their daily life and at home. A panel of energy experts from the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund judged the submissions for comprehensiveness, diversity and creativity.
Read the winning entries to learn about some of the small changes you can make to improve your energy efficiency and "go green." Every action each of us takes to reduce our energy consumption and increase our energy efficiency, can control monthly energy bills, reduce our carbon footprint and minimize the strain on the electric grid.
Thank you to everyone who entered the Challenge and congratulations to the winners!
