Public Act 11-80, An Act Concerning the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection and Planning for Connecticut's Energy Future, combined the former Department of Public Utility Control and Department of Environmental Protection to form the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, aka DEEP.
The Act gives DEEP energy-related responsibilities and requires the agency to implement a wide range of energy initiatives and programs.
